At The Gamesmen our main goal is to provide our customers with the best shopping experience both online and in-store. If you encounter any issues with your purchases our friendly and professional customer care staff are ready to give you a hand.
Faulty Goods
If a product is faulty or damaged please send us an email to [email protected] or contact us at (02)9580 9888 (press 2 for Online orders) for a return authorisation, then fill out the return form you can download a copy here. Where possible we’ll try and help you troubleshoot your issue first, to get your product working again as quickly as possible.

We test faulty goods to verify reported faults and will attempt to repair your product before replacing it. However, if the product is found to be working on arrival, you will be charged a re-delivery fee to have it sent back.
We suggest that you check the Manufacturer's/Publisher's website for support and/or patches, to try and resolve your problem before submitting a warranty claim.
Please note: All faulty items that are claimed 30 days outside of purchase window, are regrettably not eligible for free return freight.
Change of Mind Returns
All change of mind returns must be accompanied by proof of purchase and sealed in their original packaging, unused, unopened, and in a brand-new, resalable condition within 30 days of the product being collected in-store or the delivery date for tracked, delivered orders. If the product has a tamper-proof seal, it must be intact and undamaged. If you need to ship the item back to us, please contact our customer care team to let us know. Once we respond, please ensure it is returned to us within 14 days of our email. A restocking fee may apply for returns received after this date.
Any returns found to have been opened, used, or damaged will not be eligible for a full refund or exchange and will be assessed by our team to determine eligibility for a partial refund. If the outcome of this assessment is not agreed upon by the customer within 30 days of being received by us, the product will be considered abandoned, and we will dispose of it.
Special order products are excluded from this change-of-mind returns policy.
Refunds
The Gamesmen can provide a refund to the original payment method or provide a gift voucher or credit note which can be redeemed on any future in-store purchases. The amount refunded will depend on the reason for the return. If a product is received faulty (DOA), damaged or you receive the incorrect product, we will be happy to refund both the product and delivery costs.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Damaged Packaging
The Gamesmen takes great care in packing every order to ensure it is as safe and protected as possible, using recyclable materials to reduce our environmental impact. However, goods may still arrive with slightly damaged packaging, in the form of minor tears, marks or dents. Manufacturers design their packaging to protect the items and contents inside, and do not consider the packaging as part of the item or contents. This means any minor damage to the packaging is generally not considered as a damaged item, as the intended purpose of the packaging is to protect the item inside from damage. Therefore, we aren’t able to provide a replacement or refund for the item in question.
If the damage to the packaging is severe, or the product inside is damaged, please reach out to our customer care team.
For products bought for a collection that require mint condition packaging, please contact our customer care team promptly after placing your order, so that we can ensure it is offered better protection in transit.
Pre-Order & Sales Order Information
When ordering products which will be released in the future:
- Online Pre-Orders require full payment at the time the order is made.
- Prices and release dates are subject to change without notice. If within the pre-order period the price is decreased you will be refunded the difference.
- Special Orders can be made with 10% deposit. Note that full payment may be required for some items. Every effort will be made for delivery within 14 days. Special orders are excluded from our Change of Mind return policy.

Console games are all PAL format for Australian and New Zealand consoles (unless stated otherwise in the product description). Should you be unsure about the compatibility of some games please email us at [email protected] to ensure they are compatible. Please check the specifications for PC games. We are not responsible for incompatibility issues once the product has been opened so please select carefully before you place an order.
